Ordering works the same whether you need one M8 bolt or a pallet of them. This page sets out the whole path — finding the part, checking the specification, paying, and what happens after the order is placed.

1. Find the part

There are three ways into the catalogue, and they all reach the same 44,000 lines:

  • Search by standard number or size. Type DIN 933, socket head cap screw or M8x30 into the search box at the top of any page. A model number is enough — standard numbers resolve to the right family.
  • Browse the specification strip. The row under the header groups the catalogue by Material, Size, Strength grade, Surface finish and Standard, and each value shows how many lines it holds.
  • Walk the category tree. Bolts, screws, nuts, washers, threaded rods, rivets, pins, anchors, tools and kits — browsable from the header menu.

Every listing shows the diameter × length, the material, the stock status and the unit price, so you can compare without opening each product.

2. Check the specification

Each product page carries the full data for that line: the standard it is made to, the material and strength class, the diameter and pitch, the surface finish, and the packaging quantities. Where we hold the engineering artwork, the standard’s dimension matrix and a drawing annotated for that exact diameter and length are shown under the specification table.

If the size, grade or finish you need is not listed, it is almost always still available to order. Send the drawing, the part number or even a photograph and we will quote it — usually within one working day.

3. Place the order

There is no minimum order: one piece is a valid order, and there is no minimum order value. All prices are in US dollars and exclude import duties and taxes charged at destination.

Volume discounts are applied automatically to the order value — no code, no account, no negotiation:

Order value Discount on the whole order
$100 or more −5%
$200 or more −7.5%
$300 or more −10%

The discount is calculated in the cart, before payment.

4. Pay

We accept PayPal, card payments processed through PayPal, and bank transfer (wire / T/T). Card and PayPal payments are taken when the order is placed, and we never see or store your card details. For a bank transfer we issue a proforma invoice with our bank details and dispatch the goods once the transfer clears.

Business customers who need net terms can open a trade account: you register with your company details, we verify them within one working day, and invoicing options then appear in your account. The volume discount applies whatever the payment method.

5. Dispatch and shipping

Stock items are picked and dispatched within 24 to 48 hours of cleared payment, Monday to Saturday. Made-to-drawing parts ship against the lead time stated on the quotation.

Freight is charged on every order — there is no free-shipping threshold and no flat rate. The cost is calculated automatically at checkout from the packed weight of your order and the delivery destination, so small parts are not charged at the same rate as a heavy consignment. Oversized or very heavy parcels (from roughly 20 kg) are quoted separately, and we contact you before charging more than the checkout amount. Pallet and container consolidation is available for trade orders.

Typical transit time after dispatch, by destination:

Destination Business days
Asia-Pacific 5 – 12
North America and Europe 7 – 20
Rest of world 10 – 25

These are carrier estimates, not guarantees — customs inspection can add several days. A tracking number is e-mailed as soon as the parcel is handed to the carrier and is also visible in your account.

6. Duties, taxes and customs

Import duties, VAT and customs handling charges at destination are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the price or the shipping charge. We declare goods accurately on the commercial invoice, and we can supply a certificate of origin or any other document your customs broker needs.

7. If something is wrong with the goods

Fasteners are supplied to specification and sold by the piece, so we do not run a general change-of-mind return window. What we do guarantee is the goods themselves: if a line arrives wrong, damaged or out of specification, tell us as soon as it lands with photographs and the batch number or packing-list reference. We replace the line or credit it in full, including the return freight, and we do it without a restocking fee. Anything manufactured or modified to your drawing is final sale unless it fails the agreed specification, so please sign off the drawing or sample before production starts.

If you are unsure whether a line is right for the job before ordering, ask — we would much rather answer the question than process a claim afterwards.

Ordering for a business

A trade account adds saved order history, one-click reorder, proforma invoices and net terms — useful when you order the same lines repeatedly. Register from the account page and we will verify the details within one working day. For container quantities, custom coatings or parts to drawing, use the quote request form; we answer within one working day.

Still not sure?

Send the drawing, the bill of materials or a photograph of the part to info@sfxtec.com, or use the quote request form. If we cannot supply it we will usually be able to say who can.
